Marriage Counselor
Several years ago, my marriage wasn't as happy as it is now. My wife and I had been married a number of years, and had three small children. Things were going really well on the outside, but in our marriage we weren’t getting along. And, truth be told, we were extremely frustrated and unhappy with each other.
We were fighting about many things in our marriage, the kids, parenting, money and finances, the house chores, sex. You name it and it a was a problem, because we just weren't getting along. We were so frustrated that the divorce word was entering into our conversations.
We knew that we could not make it better ourselves, so we found a great couples counselor. What happened next was we began to practice in our marriage the skills that we learned from our counseling sessions. We began spending more time together, we started really listening to each other, and we began working as a team. And now, I never thought this would happen in my wildest dreams, we actually wake-up happy to see each other.
So now, I have devoted my professional life to working with couples who are really frustrated and unhappy, and I teach them how to get along better. And, I show them how to have a loving and trusting relationship like the one I have with my wife.
For 19 years I have been married to my wonderful wife Nancy who, through her commitment to the growth of our relationship, has influenced and molded who I am as a husband and father, and my understanding of what it means to be in a committed relationship. I have three extraordinary school-age children who are teaching me, in my ongoing learning and discovery, about being a father and parent.
